Wire Transfer FAQ

  • What is changing with wire transfers?

Starting May 1, 2025, wire transfers made through RepublicOnline may require supporting documents like invoices or contracts prior to processing.

  • Why do I need to provide supporting documents?

Supporting documents help ensure compliance with banking regulations and speeds up the processing of your wire transfers. Missing documents may delay payments by up to 2 days.

  • How can I avoid delays due to missing documents?

Pre-register your regular wire transfer beneficiaries at your nearest branch to reduce processing delays.

  • How can I pre-register my beneficiaries?

Visit the Republic Bank branch and provide details such as:
    • Beneficiary’s name (business or personal)
    • Any related contracts
    • Expected monthly transaction activity

  • What happens if my beneficiary or transfer amount changes?

You must update your details at the branch to reflect the new information. This ensures that your transactions are processed without unnecessary delays.

  • If I don’t pre-register, how do I submit my supporting documents?

Email your documents to rbgdwtdocs@rfhl.com with the subject line in the following format:
    [Your Name] - [Amount] (E.g.: Jane Republic - $500.00)
If submitting documents for multiple transfers, attach all relevant invoices in a single email.

  • What happens if I don’t submit the required documents?

Your wire transfer may be delayed by up to 2 days until the necessary documents are received and processed.

  • Is there a deadline to pre-register my beneficiaries?

There is no specific deadline, however, early registration is recommended to avoid last-minute delays with your transactions.
